Bolero in fillet lace
The bolero is a classic from the 40s, but it gained notoriety in the late 80s when Diana, the princess, wore the piece over a dress. Our bolero is unique because it is handmade in filet lace. Fillet is a handcrafted technique from the Northeast of Brazil that is based on a surface woven with cotton threads with spacing. From there, the artisans fill the weave in the fabric with figures and various stitches. As it is a handmade work, the fillet lace designs may vary.
Care of the piece: we suggest delicate washing and drying in the shade.
We emphasize that there may be a slight variation in tone between the image reproduction and the live piece.
Paraíba's organic colored cotton already grows in shades of beige, brown and green. It is cultivated in rural settlements and quilombola communities in a family farming system with a purchase contract guaranteed by Natural Cotton Color.
* A quilombo is a Brazilian rural settlement founded by people of African origin.
